There are five public access computer terminals (2 hours free for library members and half an hour for visitors without their home library card).
Basic computer lessons are available at Hayle library on a closed day. The course consists of a 2-hour lesson over a 4-week period. Contact a member of staff at the library (details above) if you are interested.
Printing/photocopying for A4 in black and white (10p per page) or colour (50p per page) and A3 in black and white (20p per page) or colour (A?1 per page).
Hayle library stocks the latest fiction and non-fiction books, talking books, DVDs and a small collection of Playstation & Wii Nintendo games. A�There is a hire charge for all audio-visual items, although talking books are available for free to people with sight problems.
There is a free home library service for elderly and housebound people, whereby books are chosen, delivered and collected once a month. If you know someone who would benefit from this service please contact the library (details above).
Library members can have up to six free online reservations at any one time (A?1 per reservation carried out by a member of staff, although free for children).
Many online resources are available: OneClick digital for borrowing e-audiobooks, Borrowbox for e-audiobooks and e-books, Zinio for e-magazines, Press display for e-newspapers and e-magazines, to name but a few.
If visitors bring their home library cards they are entitled to the same concessions as residents at any English Library. A�Visitors with cards can join the library as a temporary borrower and can borrowA�books, DVDs and talking books. Just bring in proof of address from back home.
Free parking is available in the library car park and on nearby streets.
There is wheelchair access.
Activities for Children
There is a homework club that runs on a Thursday when the building is closed to the public from 4.00pm – 5.00pm in term time only.
‘Storytime and fun session’ is a free event every Friday from 3.45pm – 4.45pm for children aged between 3 – 8 years.
Bounce & Rhyme
There are two sessions on a Wednesday morning: one at 10.00am and the second at 11.00am for little ones aged between 0 – 4 years. A�These are both free and are great activities for small ones and a nice way for adults to meet others who care for small ones.
Every 1st Wednesday of the month at 2.00pm – 3.00pm Hayle Chapter & Verse meet in the Day Care Centre next door as they have become too big for the library to accommodate them.

U3A Writing Group
